MOLINE, Ill. — Josh Lamberty joined the WQAD News 8 team in August 2020 as a multi-skilled journalist. In July 2022, Josh was promoted to anchor and produce the weekend morning newscasts. He also reports during the week.
Josh grew up in Eden Prairie, Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis. He graduated from Iowa State University in May 2020 with a degree in journalism.
While in school, Josh worked as a reporter for ISU's student-run TV station, producing stories about the hard work and determination of people in the Ames community. He also worked as a news intern for KTTC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Rochester, Minn., during two summer breaks.
Josh also loves hiking and backpacking. Between May and August 2020, Josh hiked more than 850 miles on local Minnesota trails. He's also been backpacking twice in the mountains in Wyoming, hiking nearly 100 miles between the trips. He'd love to know your favorite hiking spot in the Quad Cities!
