Shelby Kluver joined WQAD as a multi-skilled journalist in August 2020.
Born and raised in South Dakota, Shelby moved to Chicago to pursue a broadcast degree from Loyola University Chicago. While she loves the city, moving to the Quad Cities - with the cornfields and close-knit communities - felt like moving back home, and she couldn't be happier.
Since she began her career at WQAD, Shelby has worked mornings, nights and weekends capturing pandemic struggles, community events, striking worker concerns, hospital injustices and high school football highlights.
Now as an anchor, she's also worked to bring weekly segments to life on the 6:30, from 'What's Brewing' to 'Meal Prep Monday' to 'Women In Sports.'
